Quakes 2010 Fall Wins


The 6th Grade Girls Team won the 5th/6th Girls Division at the 6th Annual Newbury Park Girls Fall Classic November 13th/14th.  The team, made up of 5th and 6th Graders, won all three games in the eight team bracket.  After taking down SGV 6th on Saturday 36-31, he then took on Santa Barbara Blazers which had also won their first game.  In another close game, the Quakes beat them 34-30.  On Sunday, the girls had to play Northstars in the CHampionship Game.  The girls played fantastic, pulling off their biggest win of the tournament, 41-28.  Pictured above, left to right, is Camryn Davis, Brianna Biezens, Coach Steve Devolites, and Abria Flack.  In the bottom row, pictured is Kellie White, Sydney Boyer, Mariss Hiji, Megan Lee, and Carol Sun.  Missing on Sunday and not pictured is Brigitte Cotto and Kim Leon. 


The 8th Grade Girls Blue Team won the 7th/8th Grade Girls Division at the Golden State Tournament October 16th and 17th.  They took down the Oxnard Fierce and Westlake NJB in pool play on Saturday and beat Ventura Fusion in the finals on Sunday.  Pictured above, left to right, is Coach Steve Devolites, Coach Neil Foreman, Sydney Boyer, Darby Pearson, Isabella Anglin, Kelli White, Missy Frakes, Mallory McElvain, and Coach Dave O'Boyle.

In the same tournament, the 6th Grade Girls Team took 3rd place out of six teams in the 7th/8th Grade Girls Division winning two games by one point each.
