The Conejo Quakes 10u/4th Grade Boys Team won its third Championship of the Summer Season at the Swoosh Summer Series at Oxnard High School on 8/14 and 8/15.  The Boys took down the Camarillo Big Blue 24-19 followed up by a big win over the Bengals 36-19 on Saturday.  Sunday was a rematch with the GBC Runnin Rebels who they beat to win their first Summer Season Championship.  After beating them by 11 in the Fall, the team improved to beat them this time around 39-26.  Pictured above in the top row, left to right, is Devon Johnson, Shane Cronin, Colin Perrigo, Zachary Songco, and Josh Cronin.  In the bottom row, left to right, is Ryan Frelich, Nick Silver, Will Chen, Blake Steaman, and Chris Chen.  Coach Harry Carbonati is on the left and Coach Neil Foreman is on the right.

The Conejo Quakes sent a team to the Swoosh Ultimate Showcase in Las Vegas to play in the 7th Grade Division, July 21st - 25th.  Armed with two 7th Graders and five 6th Graders, the Conejo Quakes team took home the Championship.  This group took down the Las Vegas Bobcats (Nevada), OTCYBC Shot Callers (Texas), SCV Swoosh (California), and Speed City Hoops (California) to take number one overall.  Pictured standing is Roxy Barahman, Isabelle Wolff, Kira Cusworth, Missy Frakes, and Lindsey Tse.  Kayla Overbeck and Milana Kazmer are in the front and Coach Neil Foreman is in the back.

The Conejo Quakes 10u/4th Grade Boys Team won its division in the Lights Out Summer Tournament, July 24th and 25th.  After its exhibition game against an older team, they took care of business going 2-0 in division play beating both CV Falcons and Reseda Warriors.  Pictured above is Shane Cronin, Blake Steaman, Nick Silver, Josh Cronin, and Devon Johnson with Coach Harry Carbonati.  Colin Perrigo played all three games, but is not pictured.  Ryan Frelich missed the tournament and is not pictured as well.

The Conejo Quakes 8th Grade Team, consisting of four incoming 8th Graders and five incoming 7th Graders, took home the Thousand Oaks High School Junior Varsity Championship on July 11th.  Although they were playing against kids that were up to three years older, they performed very well.  They beat 8th Place Paraclete HS 71-41, followed by a close 21-20 win over 3rd Place Burbank HS, and a 42-28 win over 6th Place Westlake HS to get to the Championship Game.  In the final game of the weekend, they took down 2nd Place Thousand Oaks HS in a hard fought game, 32-29.  Pictured above in the top row, left to right, is Coach Neil Foreman, Kristin Kingi, Kayla Overbeck, Taylor Halby, and Isabelle Wolff.  In front of them is Kira Cusworth, Roxy Barahman, and Lindsey Tse.  Milana Kazmer is being held in the front.  Sara Johnson was missing this tournament and is not pictured.

The Conejo Quakes 10u/4th Grade Boys Team pictured above won the Championship at the Swoosh Summer Classic at Oxnard High School June 25th and June 26th.  This was the first Championship ever for a Conejo Quakes Boys Team, which has been going for only four months.  Pictured above is Ryan Frelich, Blake Steaman, and Josh Cronin on the bottom row and Coach Neil Foreman, Shane Cronin, Nick Silver, Zachary Songo, and Coach Ryan Zary.  Devon Johnson, Will Chen, and Chris Chen were missing this tournament and are not pictured.

Our goal at the Conejo Quakes Basketball Program is to prepare every student-athlete for the high school level on and off the court.  We strive to make each kid better basketball players and better people through hard work, discipline, accountability, sportsmanship, and family values.
